A phlebotomist from our own team — not a third-party agency — reaches you with a sealed single-use kit, collects your sample, barcodes it in front of you, and hands it into a validated cold-chain box. Two hours later it is logged at the laboratory. You never leave your home, and the sample never leaves our custody.

Preparation Guidelines

What you need to do depends on the test. Pick the type you have booked to see the exact instructions.

Fasting Tests

Applies to lipid profile, fasting glucose, liver function and most full body packages. Fasting affects these numbers more than any other single factor.

Ten to twelve hours is the target. Fasting significantly longer distorts results in the opposite direction, so do not overshoot.
Finish dinner 10–12 hours before your slotFor a 7 AM collection, that means eating by 9 PM the previous night.
Drink plain water freelyHydration makes collection easier and does not affect any fasting parameter.
Take prescribed medication as usualNever skip it on your own. Tell the phlebotomist what you have taken.
No tea, coffee, juice or chewing gumEven sugar-free gum triggers digestive activity that alters glucose readings.
No alcohol for 24 hoursAlcohol raises triglycerides and liver enzymes well into the next morning.
Avoid intense exercise beforehandA hard workout temporarily elevates certain enzymes and muscle markers.

Non-Fasting Tests

Applies to complete blood count, thyroid profile, vitamin levels, HbA1c and most infectious disease screening. These can be collected at any hour.

No fasting does not mean no preparation — being rested and hydrated still improves the quality of the sample.
Eat and drink normallyThere is no need to skip a meal or delay your usual routine.
Stay well hydratedGood hydration makes the vein easier to find and the draw quicker.
Wear a loose sleeveA sleeve that rolls up easily above the elbow speeds the whole visit up.
Sit quietly for five minutes firstArriving at the table calm gives a more representative reading.
Avoid a very heavy meal right beforeA large fatty meal can cloud the serum and occasionally require a repeat draw.

Urine Samples

Required for urine routine examination, microalbumin and culture tests. The container is delivered to you in advance or handed over by the phlebotomist.

The first urine of the morning is the most concentrated, which makes it the most informative sample of the day.
Use the sterile container providedHousehold containers introduce contamination that can invalidate a culture result.
Collect the first urine of the dayMost concentrated, and therefore the most reliable for protein and microscopy.
Give a midstream samplePass the first few seconds into the toilet, then collect. This avoids surface contamination.
Wash hands and the area firstParticularly important for culture tests, where any contamination changes the result.
Do not collect during menstruationReschedule by a few days — blood in the sample makes microscopy uninterpretable.

Hormone Tests

Applies to thyroid, prolactin, cortisol, and reproductive hormone panels. Timing matters here more than fasting does.

Several hormones follow a daily rhythm or a monthly cycle, so when the sample is taken can matter as much as how.

Mention your cycle day for reproductive panelsFSH, LH and progesterone are read against the day of your cycle, so tell the collector.

Before the phlebotomist sets out, you receive an SMS with their name, photograph and employee ID. They arrive in uniform and carry a physical identity card. If anything does not match, do not let them in — call 1800 123 4567 immediately.

Yes. Add each person while booking, or simply tell the collector on arrival. Each sample is barcoded separately against its own patient record and each person receives their own report. There is still no collection charge.

Reschedule free of charge up to two hours before your slot, from your dashboard or by phone. If you have already begun fasting, tell us and we will prioritise you into the next available morning window rather than pushing you to another day.

Around fifteen minutes from knock to departure, including identity verification, the draw itself and labelling. For a family booking, allow roughly ten extra minutes per additional person.
