InstantDelays are rare, but when they happen we would rather explain the reason than leave you refreshing a page. Here is what typically causes one, and how to reach us.
Call our report helpline on 1800 123 4567 with your reference number. Our coordinator can see the live processing status and will tell you the precise reason and revised release time within the same call — not a generic acknowledgement.
If a result falls outside the expected range for your history, or if internal quality control on that run does not pass, we repeat the analysis before releasing anything. This adds a few hours but protects you from acting on an incorrect number. The repeat is always free of charge.
Occasionally — insufficient volume, haemolysis or clotting can make a sample unsuitable for accurate analysis. If this happens we call you the same day and arrange a free repeat collection at a time that suits you, with no charge for the second visit.
Culture tests depend on biological growth, which cannot be accelerated. Organisms need 48 to 72 hours to grow before sensitivity testing can even begin. Reporting earlier would mean reporting an incomplete result, so we hold to the full incubation period.
Reports are OTP-protected, so first confirm you are logged in with the mobile number used at booking. If the download still fails, write to care@healthlab.com with your reference number and we will email the signed PDF directly within two working hours.
Critical results bypass the normal queue entirely. Our pathologist telephones you and your referring doctor immediately, before the written report is released, so that clinical action is never waiting on a download.
